Ivana Gmizic, MD, is an Assistant at the Clinic for Infectious and Tropical Diseases, University Clinical Center of Serbia, and the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, where her primary clinical focus is HIV care across inpatient and outpatient settings, complemented by broader infectious disease practice. She is a PhD candidate in Epidemiology, with research focused on quality of life in patients treated for chronic hepatitis C. Her work integrates clinical practice, research, public health collaboration, and media engagement, with interests spanning HIV, viral hepatitis, STIs, COVID-19, mpox, tuberculosis, and other emerging infections. She is a working group member of the EuroGuidelines in Central and Eastern Europe (ECEE) Network, TAE Representative of the ESCMID Study Group for Sexually Transmitted Infections (ESTISG), and a member of ESCMID, EACS, and EASL.
